35 weeks

What a busy week we had!!  The week started off amazing, with my mom coming to visit for four days!  She drove down Thursday so that way she could bring her first load of stuff!  I was so excited to know that she was coming, I'm pretty sure I called her about every two hours to check on her!  She was able to bring her bed, desk, some Christmas stuff, and lots of scrap booking stuff on this load.  We also set up a plan so we know what we want to tackle the year that she is living with us to ensure that all of the scrap booking stuff doesn't just move to her new house the same way that it came to my house.

While my mom was here, she was a HUGE help to me!  Tyler too, because then he didn't have to help me do everything!  We went through almost all of the rest of the scrap booking stuff I had left in her room, so that way we could condense it, and organize it a little better.  Then we went through all of our paper, and organized it a little bit, so that way we could know what we already have.  Of course, I'm sure we'll go buy more.  Especially since Joann's has paper on sale right now, and a 20% off coupon for your entire purchase this weekend!!  :)

Friday morning was probably my mom's favorite part of the trip.  I had a doctor's appointment, so she was able to go with me.  I really wish we could have snuck in an ultra sound too, but we haven't had one of those since week 20!!  My mom was able to meet our doctor, the fabulous Deka, as well as hear the baby's heart beat.  B has decided he doesn't like the right side of my belly any more, so he has flipped to the left side.  Thank God he is still head down though, so we don't have any worries there!

My mom also helped me wash and FOLD all of Brandon's clothes!!  It is amazing how many outfits our little monkey already has!!  Thanks to Katie she already gave me three boxes of clothes to go through.  I know it's still early, but I'm really afraid that once school starts I'm going to be too tired to do anything around here, so my goal was to have his room as ready as possible before school starts in a few weeks.

My mom and I also did a lot of errands while she was here.  We got to go grocery shopping, check out Costco, and do some returning of things.  We got amazing gifts at our showers, but there were some things we got multiples of.  We were able to return what we needed, and then of course we had to pick up some other things as well.  Tyler really wanted his backpack diaper bag, so we picked that up.  We also were able to get a couple of the bathroom pieces because they were on sale!  We were able to get the rug, and the shower curtain.  Really, we don't need any of the other pieces, but mom was going to check her babies r us at home to see if they had the trash can in her store still.

Since mom's birthday was last week her one request was to go to the movies.  Now for those of you who know my parents, they don't really go to the movies, so you know this was a big deal.  So, Saturday afternoon my mom and I went to see.....Winnie the Pooh!!  It was really cute, and a movie that I'm sure Grandpa will end up buying for Brandon and Grandma!!  :)  Saturday night we went to Charlestons, which has to have one of our favorite meals ever.  My mom and I split this amazing shrimp appetizer and then the ribs.  Amazingly enough, my number was low!!  I was so excited, it means we'll go back again before B comes!

We also introduced mom and Andrew, as I'm sure they will see a lot of each other in the upcoming year.  Andrew and his wife Emily just moved to Phoenix this summer, as Andrew will be teaching with Tyler at Christ this year.  Emily is finishing up school in Colorado, so Andrew is on his own right now.  Of course, my mom loves to play games, so we had Andrew over Friday and Sunday night so the four of us could play some Catan!  After Friday night, where my mom did an awesome job blocking Andrew so he couldn't win, Andrew was ready for revenge on Sunday!!  We had a great time, and envision many more Catan nights with the five of us over the next year!

My mom left Monday morning, bright and early, and even though I know she'll be back in five weeks, I was still sad when she left.  It was so nice having her here, being able to get things done together.  I can't wait until she moves here, and it is official that we have a move in date now!!  :)  My dad has already even bought his plane ticket to go back to California.  So my mom will officially be moving here the weekend of October 8!!

Since my mom left both Tyler and I have been working hard in our classrooms.  Tyler starts school two weeks from today, and I start school two weeks from yesterday!  It's crazy to think how fast our summers have flown by!!  Tyler and Andrew have been getting a lot done at Christ, and have been helping each other out.  I had the girls come back in on Monday, and then again yesterday to help me finish up my room.  We got A LOT done on Monday, so that was awesome.  Yesterday we almost finished, but it was my last day with the girls.  They were amazing helpers, and I know I wouldn't have been able to do it without them!

Last night we had week 2 of our birthing class.  We learned all about DRUGS!!  :)  It was an amazing hour!  I for sure will be taking lots of drugs, since I have a zero pain tolerance.  I wasn't too excited to find out I'll have an IV in my forearm as well as a tube coming out of my back and bladder, but hey, that's life.  Anything to make the labor part of this process more friendly.  We also learned about what happens after Brandon is born.  I will be in the hospital for TWO DAYS!!  There they will help us get adjusted to life as a family, as the rooms we stay in are for all three of us, not just me.  Brandon will be with us the whole time, as they don't have a nursery, unless there are complications, or you just need that break. Between both sets of grandparents, and others who are going to want to come visit, I'm not worried about needing a break.
