My crazy boys . . .

Three day weekends leave us to hanging out and having lots of fun!!

My walking buddy Saturday night

Brandon and daddy being crazy

They like to make silly faces

They had to get Natalie in the picture too!

Sitting on the couch, enjoying our tunes!

Hospital . . .

Last night Tyler and I took a trip to the hospital.  No, this wasn't planned, and it wasn't for a tour or class.  I was throwing up all day yesterday.  I couldn't even keep down water which was the last straw for me.  Luckily I had been talking to Jon throughout the day, and he figured I just had a stomach bug going around.  He was right, but when I talked with my OB's office they wanted me to go in anyways since I was throwing up.

I always forget what a slow process it is in the hospital, even when they don't look super busy.  We got there around 7ish, and we didn't leave until almost 10:15.  Tyler was super tired, but he was a champ.  He even watched the second half of the Bachelor with me.  That's how you know it's love folks.  When your husband is willing to clean up your vomit all over the kitchen, take you to the hospital, and then watch the Bachelor with you.  :)

Needless to say, we didn't get home until after 11 last night.  My poor guy is probably exhausted today.  Luckily I am feeling better this morning, but then again I didn't feel bad yesterday either.  The ladies in the hospital told me to take it easy today, sip on fluids, and not eat anything too heavy.  If Brandon and I are feeling up to it later, we may walk up to Walmart and see if we can get daddy a treat.  He deserves it after putting up with the two of us this weekend.

Gestational Diabetes, day 1

So far, so good.  Started testing this morning, and other than being super hungry as I write this, things are going well.  My numbers are looking good, but it is only the first day.  I am looking for new things to try as I go through this process, so hopefully I will find some good, and healthy choices to share with all of you!!  If you know of any high protein, low carb recipes that are great, please let us know.  I know Tyler is going to get tired of eating the same thing all the time, and really, so will I.

Excited to go out with friends tonight, and just dug through BJs online nutritional menu to figure out what I get to eat while we're out!!

Preggo Update

I know I owe everyone a bigger update than this, but here is what I have tonight.  I had my glucose test last week, and I failed.  :(  So I had to go in for the three hour test yesterday.  Called today and found out that I failed that one too!!  Needless to say, we are going to be going on quiet the diet for the next twelve weeks.  I am hoping to find some good recipes to try while we are on this diet of no sugar or extra carbs.  Could be quiet interesting.

Wish us luck, and if I find some good recipes, I will make sure to pass them on!

January 9, 23 weeks, 4 days

I promise to have a Christmas and Brandon update soon as well!!
